Removal Procedure

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  4. Loosen the intermediate park brake cable equalizer nut (1).

  6. Drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) hole through the dimple in the intermediate cable connector, near the front park brake cable.
  7. Disconnect the intermediate cable connector (1) from the front park brake cable (2).

  9. Disconnect the left rear park brake cable (1) from the equalizer.

  11. Disconnect the right rear park brake cable (1) from the equalizer.
  12. Remove the intermediate park brake cable.
