Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the condenser to the vehicle.
- Install the upper insulator retainers and the insulator retainer bolts and tighten to 2.4 (21 lb in).
- Connect the evaporator tube to the condenser using new sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
- Install the evaporator tube nut to the condenser and tighten to 16 (12 lb ft).
- Connect the compressor discharge hose to the condenser using new sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
- Install the compressor discharge hose nut to the condenser and tighten to 16 (12 lb ft).
- Install the lower bolts to the hood latch support bracket and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
- Install the radiator support. Access the bolts (1) from the rear of the upper radiator support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 (12 lb ft).
- Install radiator support bracket bolts (1).
- Install the fascia.
- Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non-HP2) , Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (HP2) .
- Leak test the fittings of the component using the J-39400-A halogen leak detector.
NOTE:
If replacing the condenser, add the refrigerant oil to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Specifications (Non-HP2) , Refrigerant System Specifications (HP2) for system capacity information.
