Preliminary Procedures Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the third row seats. Refer to 3rd Row Seat Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL) , 3rd Row Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) . Remove the rear opening garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Upper Garnish Molding Replacement . Remove the back rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement - Right Side . Remove the rear side door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) , Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) . Remove the body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .
1	Body Side Trim Panel Assembly Align the locators to the body side inner panel prior to engaging the retainers. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2	Body Side Trim Panel Retainer (Qty: 11)

Remove the third row seats. Refer to 3rd Row Seat Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL) , 3rd Row Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) .
Remove the rear opening garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .
Remove the back rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement - Right Side .
Remove the rear side door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) , Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) .
Remove the body side lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) , Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .

Body Side Trim Panel Assembly

Align the locators to the body side inner panel prior to engaging the retainers.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
