Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (8.25 inch) , Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (4WD 1500 Hybrid) , Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (9.25 inch) .
  3. Remove the air conditioning compressor for the 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (HP2) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LY2, LY5, LH6, L76, L92, LC9 and LMG) .

  4. Remove the nuts and the washers from the bracket.
  5. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.
