Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2011 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
  1. Verify that DTC P0562 is not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the FPCM.
  3. Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 volts between the IGN voltage circuit terminal 15 and ground.
    • If less than the specified voltage, test the IGN voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit test normal and the ECM - IGN fuse 58 is open, test the voltage circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the Run/Crank relay.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the FPCM.
