Shudder on Launch and/or Deceleration

Checks	Causes
Hybrid Low 1-2 Clutch Assembly	Inspect for damaged or worn low 1-2 clutch plates. Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch backing plate. Inspect for worn splines on backing plate. Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch backing plate retaining ring. Make sure the retaining ring is fully seated in the housing. Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch piston assembly, spring, spring retaining ring, and center support assembly. Make sure there are NO nicks, or marks in the bonded rubber material on the piston.
Auxiliary Pump	Inspect the auxiliary fluid pump line pressure. Refer to Line Pressure Check , Auxiliary Fluid Pump.

Hybrid Low 1-2 Clutch Assembly

Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch backing plate. Inspect for worn splines on backing plate.
Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch backing plate retaining ring. Make sure the retaining ring is fully seated in the housing.
Inspect for damaged 1-2 clutch piston assembly, spring, spring retaining ring, and center support assembly. Make sure there are NO nicks, or marks in the bonded rubber material on the piston.

Auxiliary Pump

Inspect the auxiliary fluid pump line pressure. Refer to Line Pressure Check , Auxiliary Fluid Pump.
