Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission fluid pan. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement .
  2. Remove the case extension and gasket. Refer to Case Extension and Gasket Replacement .

    NOTE:

    Walk the pin out using side cutters or equivalent, then discard the pin.

  3. Remove the park pawl actuator guide pin (1).
  4. Remove the park pawl actuator guide (2).
  5. Remove and Discard the park pawl actuator guide seals (3).
