Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT:

Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the auxiliary EVAP canister. (Body shown removed for clarity). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Remove the EVAP pipe clip (2) from the frame crossmember.
  5. Remove the EVAP pipe clip (1) from the rear brake front pipes.
  6. Remove the EVAP pipe (3) from the vehicle.
