Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2011 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the control wiring harness (2) and NEW O-ring seal (1).

  2. Install NEW hybrid low, 1-2 clutch regulator valve seals (8).
  3. Install a NEW A/T fluid pump seal assembly (7).
  4. Connect the 2 drive motor connectors to the control wiring harness.
  5. Install the control (w/body and TCM) valve assembly (6) and align the manual shift shaft position switch activator slide with the detent lever guide pin.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install the 4 control valve upper body bolts (4) M6 x 1.0 x 65 and 2 control valve upper body bolts (5) M6 x 1.0 x 80.

    Tighten in the sequence shown to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  7. Install the manual shift detent spring (5).
  8. Install the manual shift detent spring bolt (4) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  9. Connect the control wiring harness to the control solenoid valve body (3).
  10. Connect the output shaft speed sensor connector.
  11. Connect the manual shift shaft position switch.
  12. Install the control wiring harness connector (1) in the wire harness retainer.
  13. Install the control wiring harness to the wire harness retainer (2).
  14. Install the transmission electrical connector passage sleeve. Refer to Automatic Transmission Electrical Connector Passage Sleeve Replacement .
  15. Connect the transmission 16 Way connector.
  16. Connect the transmission 24 Way connector.
  17. Install the transmission fluid filter and auxiliary fluid pump filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Auxiliary Fluid Pump Filter Replacement .
