Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2011 Cadillac Escalade. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE:

    You must perform the Component Testing before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X176 harness connector at the transmission.
  2. Install the DT-48493  jumper harnessto the vehicle harness side only.
  3. Ignition ON, test for 0.8-1.4 V between the terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal 10
    • Terminal 11
    • Terminal 12
    • Terminal 14
    • If not within the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal replace the T6 power inverter module.
  4. Ignition ON, test for 6.5-7.5 V between the terminals listed below and ground:
    • Terminal 8
    • Terminal 9
    • If not within the specified range, test the signal circuits for a short to voltage, short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal replace the T6 power inverter module.
