Power Steering Gear Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (Gas Without Hydroboost)

Preliminary Procedure Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
1	Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose Clamp Procedure Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
2	Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Retaining Plate Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)

4	Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose CAUTION: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Caution . Procedure Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose from the power steering fluid cooler. Pull the power steering gear outlet hose out of the steering gear. Keep all open connections in the power steering system clean and free of debris. Use the remover/installer J 44586 to replace the steering gear seals if necessary. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
