Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fascia grille. Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement (Z71) , Fascia Grille Replacement (Escalade) , Fascia Grille Replacement (GMC Denali XL) , Fascia Grille Replacement (Suburban, Tahoe) , Fascia Grille Replacement (GMC Yukon Hybrid 2 Mode) , Fascia Grille Replacement (Yukon) .
  2. Remove the radiator grille reinforcement support, if equipped. Refer to Radiator Grille Reinforcement Support Replacement .
  3. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  4. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  6. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose (3) from the steering gear (2).
  7. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose (4) from the power steering pump (1).

  9. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bolts (2).
  10. Remove the power steering fluid cooler (1) from the vehicle.
