Liftgate Actuator Rod Replacement (Except Avalanche and EXT Escalade)

Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the left side trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) , Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) .
1 Liftgate Actuator Rod
  • Release the lock tabs on the actuator rod.
  • Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.
