Installation Procedure

Position the trailer hitch to the rear frame rail.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the 2 forward bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

Install the 2 bolts (1) to the rear edge of the air suspension compressor bracket (2).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
Re-secure the electrical harness conduit to the inner surface of the trailer hitch.
Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement (SUT) or Rear Bumper Replacement (SUV) .
