Removal Procedure

  1. Open the spare tire carrier in order to access the rear tow eye bolts/nuts.
  2. If replacing the hinge side, remove the spare tire carrier. Refer to Spare Tire Carrier Replacement .
  3. Remove the nut from the tow eye bolt.
  4. Remove the bolts holding the rear tow eyes (2, 3) to either the latch or hinge side of the spare tire carrier frame.
  5. Remove the tow eyes.
