WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 GMC Yukon XL, 2008 GMC Yukon, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
Additional DTCs may set when disconnecting the automatic transmission inline 20-way connector.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the automatic transmission (AT) inline 20-way connector at the transmission.
- Install the J 44152 on the engine side of the AT inline 20-way connector. See Special Tools .
- Ignition ON, observe the scan tool TFP Sw. A/B/C parameter. The reading should display HI/HI/HI.
- If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the TCM.
- Test for B+ between each signal circuit terminals N, R, P and ground.
- If less than the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the TCM.
- If all circuits test normal, test the automatic transmission internal wiring harness and the TFP switch.
