Conditions for Clearing the DTC

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? - Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
With the scan tool monitor the ignition 1 signal voltage in the powertrain control module (PCM) data list.
Does the scan tool display ignition 1 voltage greater than the specified value?
11 V Go to Step 4  Go to Step 3 
3 Test the ignition feed circuit to the PCM for high resistance or open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 7  Go to Step 5

  1. Inspect for poor connections at the PCM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .
  2. If you find a poor connection, repair the condition as necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs .
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 7  Go to Step 6 
5 Repair the ignition feed circuit to the PCM for an open or a short to ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs .
Is the action complete?
- Go to Step 7  -
6 Replace the PCM. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.
Is the action complete?
- Go to Step 7  -

  1. Select the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) option and the Clear DTC Information option using the scan tool.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text, if applicable.
Does the DTC reset?
- Go to Step 2  System OK
