Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Hummer H2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the left side filler panel (5) to the outer body panel (1).
- Install the push-in retainers (6) in order to secure the filler panel (5) to the body panel.
- Install the left side outer panel nuts.
- Install the nuts (7).
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Position the right side filler panel (3) to the outer body panel (1).
- Install the push-in retainers (2) to the outer body panel (1).
- Install the right side filler panel screws.
- Install the nuts (4).
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the inner wheelhouse panel lower bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement (SUT) or Rear Bumper Replacement (SUV) .
- Install the spare tire carrier mounts (2, 3).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
- Install the rear tire carrier to the mounts. Secure the bolt.
- Connect the rear license plate harness connector.
- Secure the harness grommet to the rear bumper.
- Install the spare tire to the carrier frame.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
- Install the license plate pocket (3). Refer to Rear License Plate Pocket Replacement (SUT) or Rear License Plate Pocket Replacement (SUV) .
- Latch and secure the rear spare tire carrier.
