Motor/Open Shor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 GMC Yukon and 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. This display indicates the ATFP control module has detected one of the following pump motor current conditions:
    • At least one phase current is more than 70 A.
    • Commanded current is more than 5 A and actual current in any phase is less than 2 A.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect ATFP control module connector X2.
  3. Measure the resistance of the phase circuits of the motor harness as indicated below. You should measure less than 0.5 ohms.
    • X2 terminal A to C
    • X2 terminal A to E
    • X2 terminal C to E
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the ATFP motor/pump assembly.
  4. Measure the resistance of the phase circuits as indicated below. You should measure infinite resistance.
    • X2 terminal A to ground
    • X2 terminal C to ground
    • X2 terminal E to ground
    • If less than the specified range, replace the ATFP motor/pump assembly.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the ATFP control module.
