Torsion Bars Bushing Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the torsion bars. Refer to Torsion Bar and Support Assembly Replacement (Bushing Style) or Torsion Bar and Support Assembly Replacement (Link Style) .
1	Front Suspension Torsion Bar Bushing Procedure Note the position of the bushing in the mounting bracket. Using the appropriate bushing remover/installer, remove the bushing. After installing the bushing, peen the bushing in three places 120 degrees apart from each other. Measure the trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection .

Procedure

Note the position of the bushing in the mounting bracket.
Using the appropriate bushing remover/installer, remove the bushing.
After installing the bushing, peen the bushing in three places 120 degrees apart from each other.
