Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2008 GMC Yukon XL, 2008 GMC Yukon, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  2. Hand start the wheel nuts.

    NOTE: Improperly tightened wheel bolts or nuts can lead to brake pulsation and rotor damage. In order to avoid expensive brake repairs, evenly tighten the wheel bolts or nuts to the proper torque specification.
  4. Using the J 39544-KIT  (proper size torque stick), tighten the wheel nuts in sequence. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications 
  5. Install the wheel center cap, if required.
  6. Install the wheel cap nuts, if required.
  7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
