Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2008 GMC Yukon XL, 2008 GMC Yukon, 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install a NEW throttle body gasket to the intake manifold. Align the tab of the gasket with the notch in the manifold.
- Install the throttle body (508), bolts (538), and nuts (507).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts/nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the electronic throttle control.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Connect a scan tool in order to test for proper throttle-opening and throttle-closing range.
- Operate the accelerator pedal and monitor the throttle angles. The accelerator pedal should operate freely, without binding, between a closed throttle, and a wide open throttle (WOT).
- Verify that the vehicle meets the following conditions:
- The vehicle is not in a reduced engine power mode.
- The ignition is ON.
- The engine is OFF.
- Start the engine.
- Inspect for coolant leaks.

IMPORTANT:
Verify that the engine wiring harness electrical connector seal for the electronic throttle control is properly installed and not damaged.
