Fuel Tank Draining (Dual Tanks - Front): Procedure

  1. Loosen the fuel fill cap in order to relieve the fuel tank vapor pressure.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Loosen the fuel fill hose clamp (1) at the front tank.
  4. Remove the fuel fill hose from the front tank.
  5. Insert the siphon hose from the J 45004  into the fuel tank. See Special Tools .
  6. Attach the siphon hose from the J 45004  to the pump devise hose. See Special Tools .
  7. Using a hand or air operated pump device, drain as much fuel from the tank as possible.
