Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the I/P fuse block.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal A3 and B+.
  3. Ignition ON, command the doors to UNLOCK with a scan tool, the test lamp should illuminate during the UNLOCK command.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
    • If the test lamp continuously illuminates, test the control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  4. If the circuit tests normal, replace the I/P fuse block.
