Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution .
  1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement (Two Mode Hybrid)  or Steering Column Replacement (Non-Hybrid) .
  2. Remove the shift lever. Refer to Shift Lever Replacement .

    IMPORTANT: The ignition lock cylinder set should be in the OFF-LOCK position.
  4. Disconnect the automatic transmission park lock cable (1).

    NOTE: Do not use excessive force when removing the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column. Using excessive force may cause damage to the automatic transmission shift lock control and/or the steering column.
  6. Disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator (1) from the automatic transmission control.

  8. Remove the automatic transmission control bolts (1).
  9. Remove the automatic transmission control (2).
