Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement (GMC HP2)

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Electrically cycle the wiper arm to the mid-wipe position on the rear window prior to wiper arm nut cap removal.
  2. Clean the knurls on the rear wiper motor pivot shaft after the rear wiper arm has been removed.

Tip:  Lift up on rearward end of cap to disengage the cap from the rear wiper arm.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tip:  Clean the knurls on the pivot shaft prior to installing the wiper arm to the pivot shaft.

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

3 Rear Wiper Arm Washer Hose
Tip:  Disconnect the washer hose from the liftgate washer hose elbow.
4 Rear Window Wiper Arm Assembly

Procedure

  1. Electrically PARK the rear wiper motor.
  2. Place the arm onto the pivot shaft while holding the wiper arm tab firmly into the park ramp pocket.
  3. Secure the nut.
  4. Perform a wet wipe and inspect the park position of the rear wiper arm in the park ramp.
