Cleaning Procedure

- Remove and discard the intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets (514).
- Remove the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (714). Refer to Intake Manifold Removal (RPO LY2/LY6) or Intake Manifold Removal (RPO LC9/LY5/LMG/L76) or Intake Manifold Removal (RPO L92) .
- Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve, EVAP tubes, and fuel rail with injectors. Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Removal .
- Remove the throttle body and gasket. Refer to Throttle Body Removal .
- Clean the intake manifold (500) in solvent.
- Dry the intake manifold with compressed air.
