Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2007 GMC Yukon XL, 2007 GMC Yukon, 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Start and run the engine.
  2. With a scan tool, monitor that all eight ignition control (IC) circuit status parameters displays OK.
    • If the IC circuit status parameter displays, Short to Ground/Open, or Short to B+, continue with the Circuit/System Testing.
  3. Observe the Misfire Current counters using the scan tool. The counters should not be incrementing.
    • If the counters are incrementing for any of the cylinders, continue with Circuit/System Testing.
    • If the vehicle passes the Circuit/System Verification Test, then operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that are captured in the Freeze Frame/Failure Records Data List.
