Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front grill assembly. Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement (Suburban) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Yukon) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Escalade) or Fascia Grille Replacement (Tahoe Z71) .

  3. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the Auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement .
  4. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement .
  5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .

  8. Remove the cooling lines from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Replacement .
  9. Remove the oil cooling lines from the vehicle.
