Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF. Operate the I/P module disable switch to verify that the scan tool ACTIVE SWITCH data parameter does not change state but remains ENABLED.
  2. Engine OFF, disconnect the I/P module disable switch. Engine ON, observe the ACTIVE SWITCH data parameter.
    • If the scan tool displays DISABLED, replace the I/P module disable switch. Refer to Repair Instructions .
  3. Test the I/P module disable signal and suppression indicator control circuits for a short. If the above condition is found, make the appropriate repair.
  4. Reconnect all components, with ignition ON use the scan tool to clear DTC. Recheck for DTC. IF DTC B0091 resets, replace the SDM. Refer to Repair Instructions .
