Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (Without Hydroboost)

Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (Without Hydroboost)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Place a suitable drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
1 Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Fitting
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  32 N.m (24 lb ft)

2 Power Steering Hose Assembly Bolt (at rack and pinion)

Tighten:  12 N.m (106 lb in)


Tip:  Remove the power steering gear outlet hose from the power steering gear inlet hose.
