Rear Brake Hose Replacement (2500 Series)

CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
1	Bolt, Brake Hose to Caliper Rear NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
2	Gasket, Brake Hose to Caliper (Qty: 2) Tip: DO NOT re-use the copper gaskets. Install NEW gaskets.
3	Fitting, Brake Pipe Rear Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft) Tip: Remove any dirt or debris fron the brake pipe fitting. Use a backup wrench when removing or installing the brake pipe fitting. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
4	Bolt, Brake Hose Bracket to Rear Axle Tighten: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
5	Hose, Brake Rear Tip: When installing or removing the brake hose, DO NOT bend or twist the brake hose. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
