Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2007 GMC Yukon XL, 2007 GMC Yukon, 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the gasket.
- Install the booster assembly.
- Install the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (Adjustable Pedal) or Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (Non-Adjustable Pedal) in Lighting Systems.
- Install the master cylinder to the brake booster.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the return hose, the steering gear, and the inlet hoses.
- Bleed the hydraulic booster system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding in Power Steering System.
- Release the park brake and unblock the wheels.
