Front Brake Hose Replacement (2500 Series)

CAUTION: Refer to Brake Dust Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
1	Fitting, Brake Pipe Front NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft) Tip: Remove any dirt or debris from the brake pipe fitting. Use a backup wrench to hold the brake hose fitting when removing or installing the brake hose or pipe. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss or contamination.
2	Bolt, Brake Hose Bracket to Frame Front Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
3	Bracket, Brake Hose to Frame Front
4	Bolt, Brake Hose Bracket to Control Arm Front Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
5	Bracket, Brake Hose to Control Arm Front
6	Bolt, Brake Hose Bracket to Steering Knuckle Front Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
7	Bracket, Brake Hose to Steering Knuckle Front
8	Bolt, Brake Hose to Caliper Front Tighten: 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
9	Gasket, Brake Hose to Caliper (Qty: 2) Tip: Ensure the copper gaskets are not still attached to the brake caliper or hose. DO NOT re-use the copper gaskets. Install NEW gaskets.
10	Hose, Brake Tip: During the removal and installation of the brake hose, DO NOT twist the brake hose. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
