Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank module. Refer to Fuel Tank Pump Module Replacement (1500 LWB - 117.3L (31 gal) Tank + E85)  or Fuel Tank Pump Module Replacement (1500 SWB - 98.4L (26 gal) Tank + E85)  or Fuel Tank Pump Module Replacement (1500 Series)  or Fuel Tank Pump Module Replacement (2500 LWB - 43.5L (11.5 gal) Tank-Rear)  or Fuel Tank Pump Module Replacement (2500 LWB - 98.4L (26 gal) Tank-Front) .
  2. Using a small pick like tool, push in the retainer (1) in order to disengage the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the fuel level sensor electrical connector from the module cover.
  4. Push the level sensor locking tangs (2) in towards the inside of the module bucket.

  6. Slide the fuel level sensor up.

  8. Remove the fuel level sensor from the module.
