Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2007 GMC Yukon XL, 2007 GMC Yukon, 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Connect the EVAP canister vent solenoid line (1) quick connect fitting at the EVAP canister. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting Service - Plastic Collar .
- Remove the caps from the EVAP lines.
- Install the EVAP canister.
- Using a flat bladed screwdriver, engage the rear bracket clip.
- Using a flat bladed screwdriver, engage the front bracket clip.
- Tighten the EVAP canister bracket nuts (1).
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install the EVAP canister bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the rear fuel tank EVAP canister quick connect fittings to the EVAP canister. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting Service - Plastic Collar .
- Connect the EVAP canister vent solenoid (CVS) electrical connector (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the right side, rear bumper step pad. Refer to Step Pad Replacement - Side Rear Bumper (Avalanche, Cadillac EXT) .
