Removal Procedure

Open the hood.
CAUTION: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Caution .

Remove the pin retaining the lower section of the cable to the hood by removing the retaining clip (1).

Remove the pin retaining the upper section of the cable to the hood by removing the retaining clip (1).
Remove the cable from the vehicle.
