Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rod to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Hood Hold-Open Rod

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the fastener (2) retaining the hood hold-open rod to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (7 lb ft).

  3. Set the rod in place in the plastic retainer (3), ensuring it is fully seated.
  4. Close the hood.
