Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hinge trunnion to the vehicle.
  2. Position the hinge in the same position as marked during removal.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the bolts retaining the hinge to the body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hinge to body bolts to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

  4. Install the endgate to the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Replacement .
  5. Inspect and adjust the endgate alignment, if needed.
