Circuit/System Testing
- Verify the RUN/ACCY fuse in the underhood fuse block is not open.
- Remove the RUN/ACCY fuse and place the ignition switch in the RUN position. Verify that the ignition switch will not return to the OFF position.
- Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire to the output terminal of the RUN/ACCY fuse. Verify that the ignition switch will return to the OFF position.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X5 at the BCM.
- Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the input terminal of the RUN/ACCY fuse and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the relay control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the underhood fuse block.
- Test for 70 - 130 ohms between the RAP/ACCY relay coil control circuit terminal 11 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the underhood fuse block.
- If greater than the specified range, test the circuits listed for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the underhood fuse block.
