Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the wiring harness. Refer to Liftgate Wiring Harness Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the wiper washer hose.
  5. Remove the liftgate struts. Refer to Liftgate Strut Replacement .

  6. With an assistant securing the liftgate, remove the bolts (1) retaining the liftgate to the liftgate hinge.
  7. With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate from the vehicle.
