Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Steering Wheel Position parameter. The reading should correspond with the actual steering wheel position as the steering wheel is turned through its entire range of motion.
    • If the parameter drops out or does not correspond with the actual steering wheel position, refer to Circuit/System Testing.
  2. Observe the scan tool Digital HWPS Index Pulse parameter. The parameter should cycle between Low and High as the steering wheel is centered and then turned through its entire range of motion.
    • If the parameter does not cycle between the specified values, refer to Circuit/System Testing.
