DTC B1194 (Head Up Display): Inspection
+B_BACK_UP, IG1_METER(VST), GND, HUD_UART Circuit Inspection
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
- Gauge control module connector B (12P): disconnected
- Head up display connector (20P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected) Head up display connector (20P) female terminals | (Disconnected) Gauge control module connector B (12P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| HUD_UART open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohms | |||
| HUD_UART shorted to ground Inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MOhms | |||
| (Disconnected) Gauge control module connector A (32P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| +B_BACK_UP circuit inspection | OFF | 12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1] | ||
| IG1_METER(VST) circuit inspection | ON | 12 V battery voltage [circuit type 3] |
| GND open wire inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MOhms |
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
Gauge Control Module Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good gauge control module and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the gauge control module must be faulty.
Head Up Display Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining head up display is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the head up display.
