Gauges Symptom Troubleshooting - Integrated drive-mode system mode does not change: Inspection

MODE_UP, MODE_DOWN, GND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Integrated drive-mode system/hill descent control/idle stop off switch connector (8P): disconnected
  • Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

	MODE_UP open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	MODE_DOWN open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	GND open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	MODE_UP shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhms
	MODE_DOWN shorted to ground inspection	OFF			There is more than 1 MOhms

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Gauge Control Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining gauge control module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the gauge control module.
