Entering the Self-Diagnostic Function (Manual Method)
- Before doing the self-diagnostic function, make sure the fuses and the relays associated with the system are OK.
- The multi-function steering wheel controller uses the right side if it is equipped. If the right side is not equipped, use the left side.
1. Press and hold the multi-function steering wheel controller.
2. Turn the combination light switch (LO position) to the ON.
3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
4. Within 2 seconds, turn the combination light switch to OFF, then to the LO position and OFF again.Within 5 seconds, release the multi-function steering wheel controller, and then repeatedly press and release the switch three times.
NOTE:
- While in the self-diagnostic mode, the dashlights brightness controller operates normally.
- While in the self-diagnostic mode, the multi-function steering wheel controller is used to start the Beeper Drive Circuit Test and the Gauge Drive Circuit Check.
- If the vehicle speed exceeds 1.2 mph (2 km/h), or turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, the self-diagnostic mode ends.
