DTC B1131

DTC B1131  : Front passenger's power window motor B pulse malfunction

DTC (Door Multiplex Control Unit)

NOTE:  If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   Clear DTCs

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

   -3. Open and close the front passenger's power window by using the front passenger's power window switch manually.

   -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   B1131 Front passenger's power window motor B pulse malfunction

   Is DTC B1131 indicated?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Power window motor pulse check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -2. Disconnect the following connector.

   Front passenger's power window motor 6P connector

   -3. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

   Terminal A	Front passenger's power window motor 6P connector (female terminals) No. 5:
   Terminal B	Body ground

   -4. Connect and disconnect the jumper wire to body ground repeatedly.

   -5. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

   Signal	Current conditions

   Passenger's Power Window Motor Pulse B

   Does the information indicator display DETECT?

   YES 

   Faulty front passenger's power window motor; replace the front passenger's power window motor .

   NO 

   Go to step 3.

3. Shorted wire check (AS FLSB line)

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -2. Disconnect the jumper wire.

   -3. Disconnect the following connector.

   Front passenger's power window switch 24P connector

   -4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Front passenger's power window switch 24P connector: disconnected Front passenger's power window motor 6P connector: disconnected
   Test point 1	Front passenger's power window switch 24P connector No. 22
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to ground in the wire.

   NO 

   Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
