DTCs (AC)
- If you have any loss of communication DTCs for the PCM, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
- If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Refer to: Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode 1 and Test Mode 2 (without the HDS), or Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode B - Control Unit Not Communicating, or Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks .
- Problem verification
- 1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.
- 3. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS or the climate control unit.
- 4. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
- 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC U1281 Lost Communication with MICU (climate control unit) Is DTC U1281 indicated?
YES
Go to MICU DTC U1280 troubleshooting - Refer to: DTC Troubleshooting: U1280 (2016 2017 2018) or DTC Troubleshooting: U1280 (2019 2020 2021) .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
