DTC (Second Row Seat Heater Control Unit)
NOTE:
- If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Go to: Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks .
- The seat heater control unit does not turn on the seat heater until the seat core temperature is 85 degrees or less. Make sure the seat core temperature is below 85 degrees before troubleshooting.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
Clear DTCs
- 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.
- 3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1FB4 Right rear heater not heating (second row seat) Is DTC B1FB4 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

-1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1FA2 Right rear heater thermistor circuit open (second row seat) B1FA3 Right rear heater thermistor circuit short (second row seat) B1FAD Right rear heater current abnormal high (second row seat) B1FAE Right rear heater current abnormal low (second row seat) Are DTCs B1FA2, B1FA3, B1FAD, and/or B1FAE indicated?
YES
Go to DTC B1FA2 troubleshooting.
YES
Go to DTC B1FA3 troubleshooting.
YES
Go to DTC B1FAD troubleshooting.
Go to YES
Go to DTC B1FAE troubleshooting.
NO
Replace the right Second Row Seat Cushion Heater .
