DTC : B1C61

DTC B1C61  : Driver's Heater Current Abnormal Low

NOTE: 

DTC Description DTC
B1C61 Driver's heater current abnormal low  

DTC (Front Seat Heater Control Unit)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

    - 3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
    B1C61 Driver's heater current abnormal low  

    Is DTC B1C61 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

  2. DTC check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

    Driver's seat heater connector A (6P)

    - 3. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

    Terminal A Driver's seat heater connector A (6P) (male terminals) No. 4: (1)
    Terminal B Body ground

    - 4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 5. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
    B1C61 Driver's heater current abnormal low  

    Is DTC B1C61 indicated?

    YES 

    Repair an open or high resistance in the DR HT wire.

    NO 

    Go to step 3.

  3. Seat heater check

    -1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Driver's seat heater connector A (6P): disconnected
    Test point 1 Driver's seat heater connector A (6P) (female terminals) No. 4: (1)
    Test point 2 Driver's seat heater connector A (6P) (female terminals) No. 1: (1)

    Is there more than 4.27 (with leather seat) or 4.59 (without leather seat) Ω (at 23 °C)?

    YES 

    Replace the driver's Seat Cushion Heater or Seat Cushion Heater - Ventilated Seats .

    NO 

    Go to step 4.

  4. Open wire check (BACK HTR line)

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Driver's seat heater connector B (2P)

    - 2. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

    Terminal A Driver's seat heater connector A (6P) (male terminals) No. 6: (1)
    Terminal B Body ground

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Driver's seat heater connector B (2P): disconnected
    Test point 1 Driver's seat heater connector B (2P) (male terminals) No. 1: (1)
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Replace the driver's Seat-Back Heater or Seat-Back Heater - Ventilated Seats .

    NO 

    Repair an open or high resistance in the BACK HTR wire.
