DTC : B1829

DTC B1829  : AT-P signal and VSP signal mismatch

DTC (Power Seat Control Unit)

NOTE:  If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Go to: Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks .

1. Problem verification

   - 1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   Clear DTCs

   - 2. Start the engine.

   - 3. Test drive at 6 mph (10 km/h) for 10 seconds.

   - 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   B1829 AT-P signal and VSP signal mismatch

   Is DTC B1829 indicated?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

2. A/T system check

   - 1. Check the P indicator of the shift position/mode indicator and the MIL.

   Do the P indicator and MIL come on?

   YES 

   Troubleshoot the A/T system.

   NO 

   Go to step 3.

3. DTC check

   - 1. Check for gauge control module DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC

   DTC (Gauge Control Module)

   Are any DTCs indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Replace the Power Seat Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
